The Cloud Computing Consortium

Cloud Computing - Screen with KeyboardThe emergence of cloud computing is a watershed event for IT and a ground change for business.  We believe that a strong impartial resource needs to exist that will provide C level executives with the knowledge, and practical experience necessary to effectively/efficiently transition to the world of cloud computing.  The Cloud Computing Consortium (C3) was created to provide these capabilities and to help you navigate through all of the competing claims.

The Challenge

How do I as a business/IT leader get an unbiased understanding of cloud computing and then set a course with the most likelihood of success?

Climbing the MountainThe challenge currently exists that there are multiple, competing views of what cloud computing really means. Standards are still in flux. Yet, there is a consistent view that cloud computing will definitely be a ground change for business and IT.  These changes will go beyond the technology aspect and into how business and IT works together.  It will require the need for new business and technology skill sets, governance and organizational changes, and encompass numerous other changes.

Because of this and the lack of unbiased information to assist leaders in making the right business decisions, we have formed the Cloud Computing Consortium (C3).  This is a volunteer based group comprised of CEOs, CXOs, CIOs/IT leaders, management consultants, service providers and academicians, who strive to create unbiased information for decision making.

Our Mission

To provide business and IT executives with the unbiased leadership and management knowledge and understanding needed to effectively and efficiently plan for and use cloud computing solutions and services that demonstrate value to the organization.

Our Membership

Membership in C3 is for senior business and IT executives and academicians.  Membership includes CEOs, CxOs, and CIO/IT leaders, as well as executives employed at management consultants and service provider companies of large small cap, mid cap and large cap size organizations.  Membership is international and spans North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America.  For information about joining C3 click here.
